Construction Manager/Estimator



Infrastructure Technologies, LLC, a heavy highway construction consulting company specializing in constructability review, cost estimating and scheduling, is rapidly expanding and in need of SEASONED CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONALS, preferably a Professional Engineer or candidate for PE.

Bring your hands-on construction experience to a contractor-friendly professional consulting setting with less stress and more flexibility for life balance as you move toward retirement years!! The ideal candidate for this position will provide many years of Maryland or Virginia Highway, Bridge and Utility Construction contracting field experience. IT provides construction expertise to designers and DOT's while performing plan review, CPM Scheduling Development and Review, Constructability Review, and preparing detailed construction cost estimates - similar to contractor bid preparation.   • Develop and Review Construction Schedules using P6 in logical steps and budget the time necessary to meet each deadline.

  • Prepare detailed construction budget estimates and regularly communicate issues concerning budget progress and costs.

  • Prepare reports using Word, Excel, and PDF formats.

  • Review project documentation for claims analysis.

  • Review plans for constructability and provide your construction – based opinion.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe or Blue Beam required.

  • Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.

  • Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.

  • Must have knowledge of preparing bids and working with cost estimates.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering preferred.

  • Professional Engineer or candidate for PE preferred.

CPM Scheduler

We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced CPM Scheduler. 


This position requires a minimum of 5 years of heavy civil, bridge, highway and utility construction experience and must have experience with work in the field managing construction activities of multi-million dollar highway and utility projects in the State of Maryland. You will be reviewing contractor’s schedules and monthly updates, preparing what-if schedules during the design phase as well as supporting construction claims work on an as needed basis. We are searching for self-motivated individuals who can work independently and can perform at a minimum the following tasks:


  • Experience with CPM Scheduling using Primavera products (P6)

  • Plan and specification review

  • Report writing with attention to detail

  • Preparing schedule graphics for report writing

  • Computer Proficiency using Windows, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat

  • Cost Estimating experience preferred

  • Attend meetings with clients

Transportation Engineering Technician - TET III & IV

We are currently accepting applications for MDOT Certified Construction Inspectors. 


General Conditions and Requirements *:


  • Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

  • Three (3) to Five (5) plus years of experience in technical engineering related work in the areas of construction, design, traffic, materials testing, maintenance or planning.

  • Possession of a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland with less than four (4) points.  A CDL license may be required for some positions.

  • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certification, various MARTCP certifications, in-house certifications or state-sponsored, material testing certifications may be required for some positions.

  • Employees in this classification may be required to already possess or achieve certification in areas such as field testing procedures in concrete, soil aggregate and Hot Mix Asphalt within a given time period as required by the specific project or contract.

  • Specific duties depend on job assignments and may include inspecting construction and maintenance projects; conducting roadway and bridge inspections; evaluating methods for maintenance operations; performing tests on soils and materials; serving on a survey crew; drafting design details, maintenance contract specifications and construction notes; calculating quantities for construction projects and maintenance activities; preparing CADD plans, maps or right of way plats.

  • Work is usually performed under general supervision of an engineer or higher level technical employees. 

  • Work conditions may vary depending on assignments and may be performed in the office or in the field during inspection assignments.  Exposure to various weather conditions and rough terrain may be necessary. 

  • This position may require walking, standing, bending, lifting loads weighing up to 80 lbs or more, working in close proximity with traffic on Maryland highways and hand/eye coordination in the efficient operation of computers and other office machines, survey equipment and the like.

  • Employees may be required to work varying shifts and on weekends depending on the assignment.

  • Employees in some positions may be required to travel and be available for work in any part of the State, subject to the change of assignment, as work requires.
